overwhelmed,
i apparently took only one picture thursday night
and i'm not really sure what this place is
wandering with no plan
did i mention overwhelmed ?
we lucked on the tail-end of rodrigo y gabriela
blowin' up "that tent" till 1:30am
from the edge of a massive crowd
they were visible only on enormous video walls
set behind their front-stage side-by-side seats
these two put out more musical energy
with a pair of acoustic guitars than i've heard
from master djs spinning and flipping on a stage-full of gear
they were a mind-blowing surprise
that set the bar for all to follow
while maybe equalled
they were never bettered

on our side of main street, 50ft from camp, a majestic parade of
fancifully-colored waste repositories. campers queue
into the dusty road; 30 parallel lines feeding musky pits in
random intervals of no more than 8 seconds. individual business done,
exits are made with liberal haste calculated to minimize surface contact;
an eager foot on solid ground supports a quick twist-slide to clear
the spring-loaded doors. they snap-to with sharp little stutters [CRAKK-tak] scattered
up and down formation in a panning stereophonic
percussive orchestration that never ever ever stops... [CRAKK-tak] ... [CRAKK-tak] ... [crakk-tak] ...7:40am fri | rythym of the night
